At Scrimba, we’re redefining code communication by blending a video player with a code editor, creating what we call “scrims.” In collaboration with leading tech companies like Google, Mistral, Cloudflare, and MDN, we are integrating web development with advanced AI technologies.

Backed by prominent investors including Y Combinator, Amasia, and StartupLab, we’re excited for the upcoming launch of Scrimba 2.0—taking code communication to the next level.

What you will be doing

As a key member of our team, you will partner closely with our CTO, contributing to all phases of product development. You will:

• Develop and launch new features, enhance platform stability, and optimize existing functionalities.
• Influence product development and priorities.
• Potentially work on our data layer / App framework that provides real-time syncing of data between our server and clients.

Ideal Candidate:

• 10+ years of hands-on full-stack development of web applications, including demonstrable experience in delivering high-quality, functional products.
• Passion for learning new technologies, including our primary language, Imba.
• Experience working across the software development lifecycle to deliver robust tech solutions.
• Product-centric, with a solid understanding of what makes a good product
• Comfortable working independently
• Happy to challenge conventional ways of doing things.
  

About the team

We are a small, remote team with 10+ members located globally, with the founders sitting in Oslo. We plan to remain a small and effective team, in which each contributor plays a crucial role in shaping our product's reach.

We are open to candidates from Europe, with flexibility for periodic travel to Oslo. Relocation support available for exceptional candidates.
